When it comes to Amazon river monsters, there is only one that sits at the top of the food chain - and that is the Piraiba…
Sometimes called Lau Lau, the Piraiba is the biggest catfish in the Amazon. But some people nicknamed it “fresh water shark -- because of it’s grey color and shark like dorsal fin.
To get a look at one of these Amazon river monsters I hooked up with a group of fishermen heading into the Amazon region of South America - The trip was hosted by my friend and pro fisherman Steve Townson.
