Lyn St. James had quite an extensive racing career, ranging from Indy 500 Rookie of the Year honors to wins at endurance races like Daytona and Sebring as well as LeMans and the Nurburgring. After founding the Women in the Winner’s Circle Foundation in 1994 to help women secure funding in order to go racing, it took Lyn a few more years before hanging up her gloves and moving into more of a motivational speaker role.
Lyn is no stranger to the dangers posed by automobile racing. After a fiery wreck at Riverside Raceway in a Ford Probe racecar, Lyn took safety even more seriously than before. Part of her being in attendance at the Stand 21 Safety Seminar is to continue her education even after retiring from competition.
