In the case of Lucy the chimp, her whole life was an experiment, and it ended in tragedy.

Born in 1964, Lucy was a chimpanzee whom psychologists Maurice and Jane Temerlin decided to raise as if she was a human being. She learned how to dress herself, how to make tea, how to communicate, and even how to lie. She also formed a bond with caretaker Janis Carter, helping to shape the course of her life. But was the experiment worth it? This is the tragic story of Lucy the chimp.
