Kamuti is a wise old leopard. She is a solitary hunter but she lives alongside a dazzling array of other animals in Zambia. Leopards are some of the most well-adapted hunters in Africa - binocular vision, acute hearing and a keen sense of smell all make them consummate predators. But Kamuti is thirteen years old – one of the oldest known leopards in the African bush, and her age is beginning to show. She’s not as strong or as fast as she used to be and hunting is getting harder. But it’s not just her advanced years that are the problem. She shares her territory with a pride a lions – the Nsefu Pride, 14 strong and a formidable force to be reckoned with. Not only do they compete with Kamuti for prey, they’ll even steal hers. The old leopard is in trouble.
