Matt Dagger, a Victoria University of Wellington alumni, has been working in the Community Sector for the past five years with a particular interest in Asset-based Community Development- how groups can use the tools and resources that they already have to serve their communities more effectively.

Kaibosh Food Rescue is a Wellington based Not-for-Profit organisation which links the food industry with charities that serve people in need by ensuring that excess fit-for-purpose food reaches those in our community who need it most, rather being needlessly discarded into landfill.

In Matt's talk he will be discussing how a large group of people, each contributing only an hour or two a fortnight, can help to achieve significant social and environmental outcomes.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
