If you want to sound more polite and correct in English, then you shouldn’t use outdated names for jobs such as ‘stewardess’ or ‘fireman’. Instead, you need to use gender neutral names for jobs!

Gender refers to whether or not something is male or female, masculine or feminine. Neutral means that there is no bias either way. So in the case of gender neutral language in English, it is words that don’t specifically refer to a man or woman. In terms of jobs, many job titles in the past used to show whether it was a man or a woman doing the job, but nowadays those job names can be seen as rude and sexist. 英語でより丁寧で正確な感じにしたいのなら‘stewardess’ 又’fireman’等の仕事に古い名前を使用しないでください。代わりに、仕事には男女中立の名前を使う必要があります。

ジェンダーとは、何かが、男性か女性のどちらかの意味です。ニュートラルとは、どちらの方にも偏見がないことを意味します。したがって、英語の性別中立的言語の場合、それは特に男性又女性を指していない単語です。仕事に関しては、以前は男性か女性かを示す肩書きが多かったのですが、今では失礼で性差別的な仕事になっています。したがって、性別を問わない職名を使う事が重要であり、より礼儀正しくなります。
