Reverend Dr. Karen Soli is a South Dakota State Representative who currently serves on the Health and Human Services Committee, along with the Local Government Committee in Pierre, SD. She holds a Masters in Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary, and has been highly involved in the Sioux Falls community for many years, along with holding several positions in the South Dakota Synod ELCA.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
