LGBT people are gathering in Istanbul to mark Pride despite the event being banned by authorities. Some reports say the police are preparing to disperse the activists. Pride has been banned in Turkey since 2014 when 100,000 people took part in the march. The Turkish government outlawed Pride describing the LGBT community as 'societally objectionable'.
