With a population of nearly 45 million and growing, the human population in Kenya is taking land and resources away from wildlife. It’s one of the biggest issues in African conservation--and is evident right on Lewa conservancy's doorstep. The squeeze is creating increasing numbers of conflicts between humans and animals. While management works on the long term plans, the immediate issues fall to Lewa's head veterinarian Mathew Mutunda and the Kenyan Wildlife service.

In this episode Matthew and his team have to move carefully to remove a problem buffalo from a tourist lodge before things escalate. Then they rush to a village to remove an injured leopard that has sought refuge in someone's house.
