Hey Guys Bill here, when it comes to amazon river monsters, the one that gets a lot of attention these days is the one they call, the Pacu…
Pacu come in many different shapes and sizes, but all of them are related to the Piranha. But unlike Piranha, Pacu are mostly herbivores. They use their human like teeth to eat (among other things) nuts and fruits that fall from trees into the water.
Now, the reason why Pacu get so much attention is that they have gained a reputation (true or false) for biting men’s testicles.
Now I’ve already covered this castrative issue in my “Real or Fake” video series, so if you want to check it out - here is the link
Today, I’m out with pro-fisherman Steve Townson to find the biggest pacu we can find…And we’re going to do it with the help of our boat driver and guide, Stephan Andres.
Stephan is part Arawak Indian and will show us the preferred method of catching Pacu locally, with a bow and arrow.
Now, I put a small camera on Stephen’s head to see if we can see what he sees. He’s always pointing at Pacu underwater but I never see anything. I swear, these guys out here have superman eyes.
The Pacu they have around our location are called Red Pacu. Red’s can grow up to 11 kilograms (or about 25Lbs), so they aren’t small.
Stephan will be keeping his catch today so he can take it home for dinner. Pacu is part of the local diet here.
Wow, he got his fish on the first shot. amazing… Let’s go back over the gopro video to see if we can see what he is looking at… in slow motion.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t see anything until right here when it is all over.
Now here’s a few scenes from the other videos you can watch in this series.
