Award-winning Professor Emeritus in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada, Don Morgenson has had a varied and distinguished career in the field of applied and theoretical psychology. His perspective on the human condition and human motivation draws on psychiatry, counseling, as well as a broad knowledge of anthropological issues, history, and literature. Don has taught psychology at WLU since the 1960s and it can easily be said that Don's enthusiasm for teaching psychology has been instrumental in growing WLU's Psychology department into a world-class program.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
