Daniel Cluskey is a sophomore undergraduate at Villanova University studying chemical engineering. He is excited and honored to be spreading his ideas with you at TEDx VillanovaU. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Daniel graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School where he was the trumpet section leader in the marching band and a member of the Forensics team competing mainly in Extemporaneous speaking. Daniel is also an Eagle Scout. His service project involved restoring a Peace Pole at his home parish, St. Winifred's, and installing a path and garden around it in order to beautify the church landscape. When he is not studying or working, Daniel is an avid theater enthusiast and can be found attending plays and musicals around the area. This passion for theater also led Daniel to his work study job at the Villanova Theatre where he works in the business office. He is currently pursuing a minor in Theater. Daniel's personal motto is a quote from Doctor Seuss: "If you never did, you should. These things are fun and fun is good." Daniel is the type of person who likes to live in the moment and live life to the fullest. He is always looking for new opportunities and trying to seize the day.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
