How big can a buka puasa gathering get? Here's a video that says it all. The scene is on the the Kuantan stadium grounds , next to it is a huge Ramadhan bazaar, near Jalan Mahkota and the Sultan Ahmad Shah mosque. The video takes you to the field of the stadium. At around 4pm the crowd is seen placing their mats on the field, by 6pm the crowd gathers. By 7.15pm the feast begins ! This is probably one of the biggest buka puasa gathering at one place. The crowd get their food from the bazaar and head towards this "picnic" spot to wait for the buka puasa time. The locals of all races are there too. Everyone can have a role here, as a spectator or as a family breaking fast together. It's like a gigantic picnic setting.
Indeed, non-Muslims Malaysians should come here too to experience the real atmosphere of a buka puasa gathering so huge that it feels like Raya. Be there before Ramadhan ends !
