Hey guys Biil here. A lot of you guys are asking me about this viral photo showing a supposed Fallen Angel.
It shows this guy with angel wings that looks like he crash landed somewhere. For the most part the stories I am getting is saying it is London.
And not surprisingly, all of you want to know if it is "real" or if it is "fake?"
Ok, here’s the answer. It’s fake.
Thanks to my good friends at Buzzflare , we learn that this picture was taken at art exhibit in China. It’s a sculpture created by Bejiing artists Sun Yuan and Peng Yu.
And on top of that it was created in 2008!
According to the artists, the sculpture was meant to capture the tension and transition between the supernatural and the mundane.
But after going viral in my inbox, I think what it really captures is the tension between what’s real and what isn’t on the internet. And the willingness of some people to believe almost anything. It even approaches the question at the core of most religions: Is there a god?
I bet the artists never anticipated that.
It's amazing and scary how easily miracles can be created.
And hey don’t forget if you have a picture or video and you aren’t sure if it’s real or not, send it to me at [email protected] and I will take a look.
See you next time.
