An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX traveling from Addis Ababa to Nairobi has crashed. According to Ethiopian state television, there were no survivors among the 157 people on board. The plane was recently delivered to the airline. The crash comes just months after a Lion Air crash of the same type of plane that had just left Jakarta, Indonesia. Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed tweeted news of the incident, sending condolences to the families of the passengers. The jet lost contact with air traffic control just minutes after taking off. The tracking website Flight Radar 24 says the plane had an unstable vertical speed.
