Manaweblife continues with another showcase of indigenous arts at the World Indigenous Arts Festival in Shah Alam recently. This annual event attracts performers from all over the world to present their tribal music, dance and arts. Many Malaysians would be familiar with this performer, the enchanting Ecuadorian named Wilson ‘Southern Spirit’ Lema. He has been travelling all over the world and has been a regular feature at many malls and festivals all over Malaysia promoting his recordings in CDs and his musical style. His ethnic native American musical instruments create music that is relaxing and invigorating. In this video he performs the classic Simon & Garfunkel’s Sound Of Silence with quena and a pan flute. Listen with your eyes closed and be transported to another realm of time and space! And yes, don’t forget to catch the other video performances at the festival in this channel.
