In the tropics, the fig tree is considered the tree of life. It feeds so many animals, and is vital to the health of the ecosystem. Indian langurs are known to frequent these trees, and besides their interest in figs, they also enjoy eating the fruits that have dropped to the ground and become fermented. When they stumble across such fruit droppings, the monkeys enjoy their own version of happy hour, frolicking around drunk and taking boozy naps. But they must not let their guard too much, as a hungry leopard in the area has a taste for their meat, and is watching their every move.
