While many people loved the 2012 film DREDD starring Karl Urban, the movie was a certified flop at the box office losing the studio near $35 million dollars. However, hope for a sequel has been kept alive with both the producer of the film and Karl Urban himself urging fans to sign petitions and mobilize online buzz. However, no movement has been seen from the studio end of things and now DREDD screenwriter, Alex Garland, is telling fans it’s not going to happen. In a recent interview with Collider, Garland suggested that another rebooted incarnation of DREDD may appear on the big screen someday, THIS DREDD is done. Are you surprised by Garland’s comments?
