Despite the fact that FIFTY SHADES OF GREY made almost $560 million dollars at the world wide box office, both screenwriter Kelly Marcel and director Sam Taylor-Johnson are not returning for the sequel, 50 SHADES DARKER which is scheduled to hit AMC Theatres in 2017 will need to find a new director before shooting begins after Taylor-Johnson announced she has opted not to return.
