Can One Person Change the World: Doug Clerget at TEDxWhitefish

Doug Clerget is co-founder and Executive Director of Dollar Per Month.org Charitable Foundation in Seattle. After almost fifteen years of working in the corporate field, Doug left his "big business" career to start his life in the not-for-profit world. Doug is focusing his attention and business background on creating a national non-profit from the ground up using social media to build and expand his organization. Doug and his cousin Jason, Co-Founder of Dollar Per Month, decided to start their charity as a means through which to help inspire people that all of us can actually make the world a better place with a little effort. Doug is also a full-time single father of a thirteen year-old son. Doug has been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, The Seattle Times and multiple other national news outlets.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
