Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel has invited the two rival governments of Libya to Berlin this weekend, along with other regional power brokers. It's a bid to rescue a peace deal and strengthen a shaky ceasefire between powerful warlord Khalifa Haftar and Fayez al-Sarraj, leader of the internationally-recognized UN-based government in Tripoli. It comes just a day after powerful warlord Haftar left a Moscow peace conference without signing the truce that was drafted at talks mediated by Russian and Turkish officials. Turkey's President Erdogan has said he's willing to "teach Haftar a lesson" should attacks resume. But among Haftar's supporters are Russia, the UAE and Egypt.
