Michelle Kwan is a recent graduate from Ryerson University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Applied Science in Nutrition and Food. She also has graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts. Her interdisciplinary approach unites the arts with health, providing a meaningful way for people to better understand their health and achieve wellness. Michelle talks about how art can empower service users to take an active role in achieving health and how health professionals approach health and science from a different perspective that may not interest the public. In this talk, Michelle Kwan uses art as a tool to make health education more accessible and relatable to people.
