An artist has a line featuring chickpeas.
Can you imagine chickpeas being useful for anything else besides food?
Well, one talented artist had a brilliant idea.
The collection line features photographs of the round seeds, which have faces drawn or painted on. They are also usually placed in various poses or scenes throughout New York City.
One photo shows a chickpea that rests on top of a bench near the water. The seed represents a man who has dark hair, glasses and a mustache depicted on the chickpea. A tiny black body is painted, stemming downward from the seat of the bench.
Another picture shows a chickpea head, sporting a confused look, residing over the handle of a door, directly over the word 'push'. Makeshift, wiry legs and arms protrude from the bar.
The arms stem upwards, whereas the legs go outwards, appearing as if the male chickpea is stuck in the handle and trying to break free.
All of the seeds showcase varying expressions from happy, to mellow, to sad, angry or scared. That alone serves as the standout piece in each photo.
