Are mountain bike suspension forks as we know them upside down? A motorbike fork has a stanchion at the bottom of the fork and the damping internals/ in the upper section, but the MTB fork is commonly the other direction, Doddy explains this design is because before disk brakes were common, we had to mount the rim brake calliper to the upper section and also this additional brace would help with stiffness. However, with the return of the Manitou Dorado 'inverted' fork, should we question this orientation? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments!
