Whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg says the way we have looked at nuclear weapons and nuclear deterrence has been an illusion. He details that in his book "The Doomsday Machine: Confessions of a Nuclear War Planner." Ellsberg is also known as the legendary whistleblower journalist behind the 1971 release of the Pentagon Papers, classified documents which revealed the Watergate scandal and helped hasten the end of the Vietnam War.
