This G-Class is the most powerful and expensive model out there. There are a couple of reason why this model is so recognizable: first the shape of this SUV has hardly changed in decades, and second this has become the de facto mode of transportation for the famous. But a little history first; in 1972 the Shaw of Iran asked Mercedes to build a 4x4 vehicle. The G-Model was meant to be a no frills off-road vehicle. Over the next several years the G-Class became more of a status symbol with the amenities to match.

Under the hood is a hand-built 6.0 liter bi-turbo V-12 engine that makes 621 horsepower and 738 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a 7-speed automatic dubbed the AMG Speed Shift transmission. Inside the interior is a very premium set-up with quilted leather seating with body-color matched stitching. The analog gauges feature carbon fiber trim.
