Venezuela's self-proclaimed president Juan Guaido is due to meet leaders of a multinational support group later today in the Colombian capital Bogota. One of the leaders he'll be meeting is US Vice President Mike Pence. Washington has been a key backer of Guaido, who for weeks has been locked in a political standoff with Venezuela's socialist president Nicolas Maduro. Last weekend two people were killed and hundreds wounded along Venezuela's border with Colombia, when Guaido supporters clashed with Venezuelan security forces in a failed attempt to bring US aid into the crisis-hit country. Juan Guaido stated that the opposition has to consider 'all options' in the conflict with Venezuela's President Maduro.
