Wild Animals Battle It Out on the Beach

From elephant seals to ghost crabs, witness the shoreline's fiercest animal battles. Elephant seals - Able to dive to incredible depths and fasting for long periods of time, the Northern elephant seal is an extraordinary marine mammal. Twice a year, they come together on the beaches of northern California to give birth, mate and molt. Then return to the sea and a solitary existence for the rest of the year. Oh, and they fight, a lot.
Newly hatched baby sea turtles vs. ghost crabs. In South Africa’s east coast, the female turtles have come to lay their eggs in the same place their ancestors have nested for generations – an incredible journey we witness from start to finish, as the babies hatch, battle predators like ghost crabs, and begin their solitary lives at sea.
