What Does it Mean to Dance?: Moira Saxena at TEDxGunnHighSchool

Moira Saxena is a senior at Gunn high school. She is 18 years old and has been dancing for 12 years. She has studied various types of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Hip hop, Lyrical, and Modern. She enjoys dancing not only for the performance opportunities it gives her, but also because it allows her to express herself in a way that words cannot. Besides dance she also enjoys the art of photography and has been a part of the Gunn photography program for 3 years. Next year she is planning to major in dance and will
be auditioning for schools in February.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
