In 2012, Aaron Hernandez seemed to be living a dream life. The NFL tight end had played for three seasons with the New England Patriots and had made it to the Super Bowl in 2012. He was at the height of his career when it all came crashing down on June 26, 2013.
On that day, Hernandez was arrested for the murder of Odin Lloyd, who had been dating Hernandez’s fiancée’s sister. Hernandez was ultimately convicted in Lloyd’s case, and the brief period of time he spent behind bars before taking his own life in 2017 was incredibly difficult for the former football star.
