A new billionaire is minted every two days, while the poor just keep getting poorer. That's according to a new Oxfam report. The non-profit organization says the fortunes of the world's wealthiest rose by 12 percent last year, while the poorest half of the global population, 3.8 billion people, saw their wealth decline by 11 percent. Oxfam accuses governments of exacerbating the income gap by under-taxing corporations and the wealthy, while underfunding public services. But the study is causing controversy.
