Deadline is reporting that 5 time Oscar nominee Amy Adams has signed on to star in the upcoming Janice Joplin biopic. According to the report the Oscar nominated director of THE DALLAS BUYERS CLUB, Jean-Marc Vallee, will helm the project. Joplin rose to fame in the late ’60s and had her life cut short at age 27 due to a heroin overdose.
