This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Dr. Park talks about the two revolutions in human migration and their continuing impact on society to this day.

Professor Park received his M.P.P. from Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and his Ph.D from Berkeley in 2000. He is currently the Chair of the UCSB Asian American Studies department. Dr. Park writes and teaches on topics in race theory, immigration law and policy, and Anglo-American legal and political theory. His published works include Elusive Citizenship, a book on the philosophical and legal justifications for federal immigration law, and immigration law's impact on Asian Americans, Probationary Americans, co-authored with Edward Park, about contemporary immigration rules and American race theory, and most recently Illegal Migrations and the Huckleberry Finn Problem.
