Easter, the holy sacrament, letter-writing campaigns against TV shows — all of these are sacred traditions among many religious groups. And while the media landscape has changed in many years — and along with it the means by which these organizations express their ire — religious watchdogs are no less furious about what's on TV today than they were in the 1970's, or at the height of 1990's satanic panic. It doesn't take much to trigger a boycott from these groups — just play a little loose with religious mythology or show relationships or lifestyles that are at all non-standard.
