Speaker Pelosi sent Trump a letter suggesting he postpone his scheduled State of the Union address until the shutdown is over. So Trump retaliated with a letter of his own informing Nancy Pelosi that he was canceling her military flight to Afghanistan. You know, if the Democrats can’t convince Trump to end this silly shutdown, we think we know someone who can. A lot of people have been trying to make sense out of it, but the clearest voice we’ve heard so far, believe it or not, came from Cardi B. Today is day 27 of the government shutdown and nearly 800,000 federal employees are working without pay. So we are putting a federal employee to work every night until the shutdown ends. Tonight, Jimmy hires National Park Service Park Ranger Andrew Regopoulus who had his own idea about what he wanted to do here.
