Funny flirty lemur Morris, at the bottom of the lemur society under Museum Gang Queen Kati's rule, is trying to find a girl but only finds himself irritating all of them.
Found only on the island of Madagascar, these charismatic wild animals with their distinctive black and white banded tails live in female-run lemur gangs, each with a strict hierarchy and their own fiercely defended territory. The forests, roads and buildings that make up their Berenty ganglands are hemmed in on all sides by farmland, which means these lemurs are trapped here – when times get tough, there’s nowhere else to go. As food and water become increasingly hard to find, and invaders and interlopers start to appear on all sides, life keeps getting harder for the Museum and Ruins gangs. The resourceful females are forced to dig deep to try to keep their babies safe and well-fed. With the odds stacked against them, we discover which of these tough mothers has what it takes to guarantee their infants’ futures. Alongside a supporting cast of spooky sifakas and unstoppable brown lemurs, there’s drama, danger and heartbreak for the Gangs of Lemur Island.
