The sudden death of veteran comedian Bob Saget led to an outpouring of mourning from his friends, family, and fans. Throughout Saget's life, he dedicated himself not only to the art form he loved, but to a charitable cause very close to his heart. In 1992, Saget's sister, Gay, was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called scleroderma before eventually succumbing to complications. Bob's friend Sharon Monsky was also afflicted with the disease, and eventually died from complications as well. The deaths of these women clearly had a great impact on Saget, as he spent years championing the Scleroderma Research Foundation to honor his sister. This is the tragic death of Bob Saget's sister explained.
