Simon & Garfunkel hit the top of the charts with their 1966 album "Sounds of Silence," which featured the hits "I Am a Rock" and "The Sound of Silence." The folk rock duo, comprised of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, is arguably best known for 1968's "Mrs. Robinson," a huge hit from the soundtrack to Mike Nichols' movie "The Graduate." So why did Simon & Garfunkel call it quits shortly after, in 1970?
