We've all experienced cold weather, but there's always something to be done about it. Throw on a sweater, turn up the heat, and check the weather forecast to know when to expect a break from the cold. But what if it ever got really cold outside, and it stayed that way. Furthermore, what if this mini Ice Age lasted for months on end, and your house didn't have electricity. This is exactly what happened in Europe in 1709. Temperatures plummeted to dozens of degrees below zero, and stayed that way. What's more, to this day we don't know why it happened. This cold snap even changed the balance of power globally. This is the mysterious deadly frost of 1709 killed thousands.
