On November 24, 1971, a man going by the name of Dan Cooper hijacked a plane heading from Portland, Oregon to Seattle, Washington. His demands were simple: two front parachutes, two back parachutes, $200,000 cash, and a fuel truck waiting in Seattle. Once he got the money and supplies, the plane took off again, headed for Mexico City.
But Cooper wouldn’t make it to that destination. At some point, he jumped from the plane and disappeared forever. The FBI investigated the case for 45 years without ever solving it, but in 2016, a documentarian came forward with information that may shed some light on Cooper’s true identity. This is the D.B. Cooper theory that would change everything.
