A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl who lost four limbs to meningitis was treated to an extra-special Christmas present this year -- her first ever bike. Charlotte Nott beat incredible odds to survive after being struck down by the deadly virus in December two years ago. Only a month before she was rushed to hospital, the schoolgirl had fallen in love with a bike. Parents Jenny, 32, and Alex, 32, had secretly bought it, hoping to surprise their oldest daughter on Christmas day. Tragically, Charlotte fell ill before she was able to open her gift at home in Oxford. And, most devastatingly, doctors were forced to amputate her arms and legs below the joints before she even had a chance to ride it. But her wishes have now been answered and today, Charlotte can be found zooming along the cycle path close to her home on her very own, £400 custom-made pink three-wheeler.
