NBC began broadcasting TV way back in 1939, and in 1947, the National Broadcasting Company became the world's first "regularly operating television network." So they've been around a long time — which also means they've had plenty of time to get mired in a lot of controversies.

For instance, there was the firing of Matt Lauer, which also got them caught up in the Harvey Weinstein debacle. Then there was Biran Williams and his fake helicopter attack, Tom Brokaw's "okay Boomer" comments about Hispanics, and that time they burned the Puerto Rican flag on Seinfeld. Throw in the character assassination of Richard Jewell, editing Geroge Zimmerman's 911 call, and more, and it's hard to pick among the biggest scandals to hit NBC.
