Camille Cusumano is the author of "Tango, an Argentine Love Story", a memoir endorsed by Vipassana teacher Sylvia Boorstein as "a remarkable addition to contemporary dharma literature...[that] shows the redemptive potential of sincere spiritual practice."

Camille was a successful magazine editor when a perfect storm tossed her into turmoil. Out of heartbreak and suffering's chaos, came two lifelines: Her 20-plus years of Zen practice; the other, unforeseen, unexpected, and unlikely -- the dance of tango. The two lifelines have become the Golden Thread that Alchemy promises us if we wait with an open heart through the dark.

Her life's work centers on teaching, writing and tango, sometimes as a form of therapy to elders or people in rehab. She lives, teaches and meditates in San Francisco.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
