This is some really rare daylight footage of a wild serval cat in Africa hunting a mouse.
So what is a serval cat you ask? Serval cats are medium sized African Wildcats…
They’re considered to be one of the tallest cats in the world because their legs are very long… and their ears are extra big, giving them a great sense of hearing. And wow… that spotted coat…. beautiful!
Serval cats usually only hunt at night, but this one came out just before sunset. It had already found a field mouse in the bush and was ready to pounce.
Wow… look at that jump. Amazing…. Now we can see what they use those long legs for…
I don’t think that field mouse had a chance… Serval cats are deadly accurate when they attack.
I could have stayed there for hours, but the park we were in was closing so we had to say goodbye to this amazing creature.
Wow, look at that face… Now that’s a cat!
