Duane M. Abel has created his comic strip series "ZED" since becoming the youngest syndicated cartoonist in history at the age of fifteen. By utilizing the secrets to success found in the Sunday Funnies, Duane was able to sign his first book deal and accept a full scholarship to the University of Akron on the same day. After many stage productions (he was a Theatre Major!), studying, and a brief run as Zippy, Duane graduated in 2002. Soon afterwards, he founded Corkey Comics. When Duane is not at the drawing board, he travels the country getting paid to do the two things that got him into trouble through school: draw cartoons and talk too much!

About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
