Written and directed by James Watkins, the writer/director of the award-winning gothic ghost story The Woman in Black and co-creator, director and writer of the International Emmy winning crime series McMafia, Speak No Evil is based on the screenplay of Gæsterneby Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup. Released in 2022, Gæsterne earned 11 Danish Film Awards nominations, the Danish equivalent of the Oscars. Speak No Evil stars BAFTA and Golden Globe nominee James McAvoy (X-Men franchise, His Dark Materials), who previously starred in the Blumhouse-produced hit thrillers Split and Glass. The film also stars Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy and Aisling Franciosi. The film is produced by Jason Blum for Blumhouse and is executive produced by Paul Ritchie, Christian Tafdrup, Jacob Jarek and Bea Sequeira. Universal Pictures presents a Blumhouse production.
