Kevin O'Connell is a social media strategist, consultant, speaker and founder of The Niche Movement - the movement to help young people avoid employment unhappiness and find their niche. Currently, Kevin serves as the Assistant Director of Marketing & Social Media for Rutgers University Campus Recreation department. He finds fulfillment in teaching people not only how to create content that engages their audience, but how to discover their digital voice and maximize it. On a personal note, Kevin has a two year old black lab named Luke, he's a former collegiate golfer, loves a good mac n' cheese and some might say that his country music Spotify playlist is the best one out there.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
