Is our sexuality and gender identity fixed? Or flexible and responsive to others? At TEDxBloomington, Danielle McClelland introduces a new model for gender identity, sexuality, and relationships. She believes we each position ourselves sexually and to consciously embrace the process gives us all more freedom and ultimately, more power to live fulfilling lives. McClelland's twenty years of work in the arts as a playwright, director, and administrator has been augmented by time as professional cook, organic field hand, and union organizer. Danielle has written and produced two short films and is currently in development on a feature length screenplay set in Bloomington. She has presented her one-person show, the girl stories, in cities from New York to Portland. In her spare time, she serves as the Executive Director of the Buskirk-Chumley Theater, and founded and produced the PRIDE Film Festival for ten years.

About TEDx, x=independently organized event. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
