The Selati male lions looking good just hours before their two year reign as kings of the Western Sabi Sand came to an end. During the night we heard roaring from both the Selati and Majingilane coalitions, we woke to find the Selati males scattered, blood on the ground and other signs of a fight, and the Majingilanes mating with an Othawa lioness. The body of Selati #3 was found only days later, it seems he died from whatever injuries caused the blood spatter found on the ground.
