Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun, the Saudi teenager fleeing alleged abuse by her family, has arrived safely in Toronto, Canada. She had planned to seek asylum in Australia, but was stopped at the Bangkok airport, where authorities seized her passport and threatened her with deportation. The resourceful teen holed up in an airport hotel and relayed her plight on the social-media platform Twitter, where it was picked up by the UN refugee agency UNHCR, which coordinated her resettlement.
